Vintage Sweden SVERIGE Signed Souvenier Metal Silver Tone Knife in JUVELERARE Box. It is approximately 8 5/8 inches long and 1 3/8 inches wide.
I’ve attended a lot of old fashioned estate auctions over the years and frequently have brought home things that I know nothing about. This is one of them. I’ve figured out that it is a Swedish souvenir and is in a jewelry store box and I know that it came from an estate auction that had a large amount of sterling silver. But although this looks like tarnished silver, it doesn’t seem to have any silver hallmarks. Perhaps it is pewter. I can not figure out the meaning of the word on the back nor can I read the signature under the design. It looks to me like a blunt edge knife/dagger or an oversized letter opener.
CONDITION: Tarnished, but no damage noted. The box is worn.
