    **BE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN INTO THE DESCRIPTION AND LOOK ABOVE AND BELOW FOR MORE PHOTO*** A very nice pair of Quimper pottery hand-painted lug-handled porriger bowls circa 1940 Inside one bowl is a Breton man, and the other is a Breton woman. On the bottom of each bowl is marked “Henriot Quimper France,” and holes were made for a wire to be used for decorative hanging. Each bowl is 2 ½” tall; 5 1/8” across the top rim of bowl from side to side, and 7” across including handles; bottoms are 2 ½” in diameter. Condition is Very Good. One bowl is in great condition with no issues. The other bowl at one time had been damaged and repaired. Both bowls look very attractive hanging on a wall side by side. Hand-painted by the Henriot Faiencier in Quimper, France. The hand-painted French faience known as Quimper Pottery, pronounced “Kem-pair” has been manufactured in Quimper, a town in Brittany, France for over 300 years. Each piece of Quimper pottery is completely handmade and painstakingly hand-painted. One artist paints each piece from start to finish, then marks the piece with the Henriot logo to insure its authenticity.

    A very nice pair of Quimper pottery hand-painted lug-handled porriger bowls circa 1940
    Inside one bowl is a Breton man, and the other is a Breton woman.  On the bottom of each bowl is marked “Henriot Quimper France,” and holes were made for a wire to be used for decorative hanging.
