    Offered here for your consideration is a
    wonderful, antique Soupière et son Couvercle en Faience (French faience Tureen and Cover).
    Dating to the early 18th century, this very rare form is decorated in the Moustiers style and possibly from the workshop of Clermont-Ferrand.
    With grotesque mask handles and the original lid.
    It is in overall good, as-pictured used estate condition with
    a spot of loss to the lid's inner rim, typical glaze losses, fritting and edge wear throughout, fine and light glaze and surface scratches throughout, and other signs of wear consistent with age.
