The vital statistics: one 1914-A German States - Prussia 3 mark coin, KM# 538, silver 0.900 fineness, 16.6670 g (0.59 oz.) weight, actual silver weight 0.4823 troy oz., 33 mm (1.3 in.) diameter.
This coin is in extremely very fine condition.  Fine details of the coin's designs are clear and sharp.  All lettering and numerals are crisply legible.  The obverse of the coin is lamentably defaced by a cluster of nicks and scratches - but for them, I'd grade it higher.  The two pairs of images were taken in the same location and under the same light.  Only the background is different.  I've found that the different backgrounds give different image resolutions, though they white background also gives silver coins a misleading golden hue.
