The vital statistics: one 1902-E German States - Saxony-Albertine 2 mark coin, KM# 1255, silver (0.900), 11.1110 g (0.39 oz.) weight, actual silver weight 0.3215 troy oz., 28 mm (1.1 in.) diameter.
This coin is in brilliant uncirculated condition.  Both pairs of images were taken in the same location and under the same light.  Only the background is different.  I've found that for some reason a white background gives me better image resolution, though it also gives silver coins a misleading goldish hue.
