    Legal size, unsealed cover with Syria, Scott C480 air mail (60p) and Scott 552 (5p) stamps, posted by an unreadable machine cancel with Damascus - Syria return address which would not be visible if back flap had been sealed, sent to The Family Robert T. Crouder, Yellow Springs, Ohio (see scans). Posting date is based on the issue dates for the two stamps (both 1970 issues). Cover has creased/damaged corners.
