    Description

    A marvelous French Porquier-Beau salt container with two Bretons having a picnic. There are lizards as handles and the piece stands on three scrolled feet. The armorial of Brittany is in front with a demi - shell. All surrounded by a blue on soft blue decor riche border.The piece comes with the origional galvanized insert for the salt. This is the only salt container I have ever seen.It would make a lovely show piece in your home.

    Condition: Very Good.Minor wear. A minor repair on the rear of the shell caused by salt deterioration.Rarely can the salt containers be found because the salt corroded them. The repair is a good one but it can be seen.There is only minor wear on the piece.
