This is a Wonderful Piece of Port ArthurTEXAS HISTORY! This has names of people that actually worked there written on this safe box. These men were pillars of the community. PORT ARTHUR ABSTRACT CO WAS LOCATED ON THE GROUND FLOOR OF THE BANK BUILDING. 443 AUSTIN AVE. Current it is where CITY OF PORT ARTHUR HEALTH DEPARTMENT IS . According to the 1940's census RF Banker was working as the manager of an Abstract Co in Port Arthur Texas at that time frame, so the box maybe be dated a little earlier.

GREAT CONDITION.  Still able to read the print on the metal box.
Box reads H.F. Banker R.L Rutan just above the PORT ARTHUR ABSTRACT CO, Below it reads  443 Austin Ave  Port Arthur , Texas /  Best Abstracts -Lowest Prices - Quickest Service. Located near opening is the words that are pressed into metal- MFD BY PNCO FULTON, ILL. USA. The black paint has chipped off and rust on outside. Dent on button release. Inside has less rust. Opening and closing mechanisms work. Hold Box, Push button to release inside mechanism, safe box will open.
