1887 CAST IRON SECURITY SAFE DEPOSIT FLOOR SAFE FIGURAL STILL BANK KYSER & REX

Description

Rare and Original ca1887 Cast Iron, “Security Safe Deposit Bank”, Bank Safe form Still Bank manufactured by Kyser & Rex Company of Frankfort, Pennsylvania.
This Kyser & Rex Safe Bank measures approx. 4" tall and 2 3/4” by 2 3/8” at the base. It is made in the form of a Floor Safe and features a double dial, brass combination lock. Text cast into the face of the Safe reads “Security Safe Deposit”. There are cast foliate decorations on all sides of the safe and it stands on four integrally cast, non-turning wheels. The number “100” is cast on the bottom of the Safe along with 1881 and 1887 patent dates.
This original, “Security Safe Deposit” Floor Safe Form Still Bank is in very good condition - the surface appears to have been repainted sometime in the past. There are no cracks, breaks, chips, repairs or physical damage of any kind to the cast iron. The double dial, combination lock is working and we have the combination.
